Cold pressed oil business idea

Cold pressed oil business idea:

Cold pressed oils are produced by compressing the seeds at room temperature and such type of oil have high demand due to many health benefits.

The oils that are pressed at high temperatures are not good for health, because they generate free radicals, hot pressed oils lose their natural smell due to heat hence, chemicals are added to improve smell and stability, but this is also true that most oils are not suitable for cold pressing as cold pressed oils have a very short shelf life thus cold pressed market is limited.

But still cold pressed oils are good for health and hence have a good demand in the

market due to its health benefits.

How do we get cold pressed oil?

Cold pressed oils are obtained by steel pressing the seeds. Cold pressed oils retain all the essential components such as taste, aroma and nutritional values, making these oils great for use in cooking and skin care. They do not contain any trans-fats. Such oils do not contain harmful solvent residues, as they are obtained only by pressing and also contain natural antioxidants.

Natural flavors and aromas are preserved in cold-pressed oils, which gives wonderful flavor. These are processed in a heat-controlled mechanism in an environment that ideally never exceeds 37 degrees Celsius. Such oils contain a higher content of phenols and nutrients than oils extracted from oil pressed at high temperatures.

Natural antioxidants are present in the seeds, and cold-pressed oils are extracted from them, while their natural goodness, healing properties and anti-inflammatory efficacy is preserved.

The elimination of heat in this process makes the oxidation process slow down.

Until the last century, the oil extraction process was followed by cold pressing, in which a fixed wooden or stone mortar and wooden pestle were rotated by bulls or camels. The seeds were crushed by the friction of the motor and ram. They later produced Ghaani/ Ghanni with large engines and cold pressed oil he produced in large quantities at 25-50 kg/h. However, this also generates frictional heat and is very noisy.

The launch of screw extruders for extracting cold-pressed oil extracts was an improvement over hydraulic presses and solvent extraction. Screws are compact, highly productive, and labor-saving in continuous production.

Screw extractors are based on the principle of feeding oilseeds vertically through a motor and then through an auger and cage known as a ram/pastel mechanism. First crushed and then pressed to extract the oil from the seeds.

Subsidies and loans for these projects are available at government banks in India.
